[ English ]

Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your computer, using a web account. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards possible in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will be "dealt" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now decide which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has selected which cards he wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards are dealt if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced players are able to choose the most profitable machine each and every instance.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the bettor a chance to double their winnings, in which case a further game is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
